Reporting to the Head of Quality & Lean Transformation, this role serves as both an instructional facilitator and a subject matter partner—collaborating with shop floor technicians, engineering, and leadership to ensure workforce readiness, quality excellence, and adherence to FAA, EASA, EHS and AS9100 standards. The position also oversees training records administration, supports audit readiness, and engages with external educational partners to build long-term talent pipelines.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Design, update, and deliver structured instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training programs, including new employee onboarding, technical skills training, and recurring refresher courses.
  • Create standardized training materials, presentations, job instructions (JIs), assessments, and competency evaluations.
  • Partner with the Repair Shop, Engineering, OEMs, and the broader Liebherr network to build specialized training plans and support new operational capabilities.
  • Coordinate and manage dedicated training personnel and on-the-job training (OJT) mentors.
  • Ensure all training programs and records strictly adhere to AS9100, FAA, EASA, Customer-Specific, Regulatory, EHS and internal quality management standards.
  • Establish and manage the FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Awards Program.
  • Audit and review trainer scan times, OJT record sheets, and qualification logs to verify training compliance.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing training evidence and audit-ready documentation.
  • Manage employee qualification matrices, certifications, and retraining schedules.
  • Measure training effectiveness and operational impact through assessments, floor observations, and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate internal workgroups to identify process improvements, streamline workflows, and adopt modern training methodologies.
  • Partner with external educational institutions to develop talent pipelines, practical training, and job-shadowing programs.

Competencies

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Engineering, Aviation, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in training, facilitation, quality, aerospace manufacturing, or a related industry preferred.
