Roles & Responsibilities

• Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments using the WMS
• Report discrepancies between inventory counts and shipping/receiving documents
• Load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and prevents damage
• Locate and retrieve products; replenish picking locations
• Transport palletized product within the distribution centre (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
• Use RF scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site
• Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks
• Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes)
• Cross-train and become knowledgeable in other warehouse positions; provide backup support as needed

Experience Required

• 2+ years of experience in slipsheet operation (must-have)
• Experience with multiple types of MHE — order pickers, reach trucks, and counterbalance
• Intermediate experience with either high reach or counterbalance forklift required
• 1 year of relevant experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED
• Experience with Manhattan WMS – preferred

Skills & Certifications

• Material handling equipment operation (high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, dock stocker, slipsheet)
• RF scanner and WMS usage
• Reading and interpreting distribution documents in English
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
• General distribution knowledge
• Basic computer/PC proficiency
• Strong initiative and drive for results

Eligibilities & qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (preferred in lieu of 1 year relevant experience)
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (within 2 days of employment)
• Normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye
• Hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE in a manufacturing/distribution environment
• Ability to perform physical demands: walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, twisting, lifting, and repetitive hand/wrist motion
• Occasional climbing; lifting over 50 lbs required in some areas
• Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, exposure to moving mechanical equipment, precarious situations, and occasional fumes/airborne particles
• May require mandatory medical evaluation per occupational health and safety compliance
